                          GOING TROUGH SYDNEY 


Since I was a child, I always wanted to travel to Sydney. I have always thought that it’s a wonderful place that has a lot to offer. The arquitecture, famous buildings, culture, history… Sydney, is a source of interesting places and experiences. I have been preparing for this trip all my life, and I am whiling to start it. 

This year, I am going to found out if all my  expectations of this place are real or not. So, I have decided to create a blog where I’ll  be sharing all my adventures and experiences about this amazing place. Are you ready to come with me?

Darling Harbour

  Darling Harbour  The Darling Harbour was a common industrial port in Sydney. In 1980, it was decided to change it and transform it into a recreational and cultural center. Art Gallery of New South Wales

  Art Gallery of New South Wales  The Art Gallery of New South Wales, was founded in 1874 by Dr Michael Brand. It is known because of it’s extensive collection of Australian, European and Asian aboriginal art. It’s the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia.  After visiting is, I realized that work of art that really drawn my attention was the Castle Upnor, River Medway. It was made on 1833 by Joseph Mallord William Turner. It was an English painter specialized in landscapes. He was born in 1775 and he died in 2851. It was considered a controversial figure in his time., but also, one of the best painters of landscapes.  I choose his work of art because all the little details that contains. The castle, the incredible ancient ships,  the dog, the fisherman’s and the little city we can see far away from the coast. I apreciate a lot, all the effort, strength and time he had to invert to create such a beautiful and realistic paint...

Hyde Park Sydney Thinking Routine

  Hyde Park Sydney Thinking Routine In the picture we can see two old man playing a human-sized chess game in the middle of a really beautiful park. It seems like the game must be quite interesting because they have some spectators. I think that these people might usually play at the park, because in order to have spectators, you must have had played before more than once.  The park were they are playing this chess game is called Hyde Park in Sydney. It’s known for being Australia’s oldest park as well as one of it’s most well known. The Park is filled of thousand of trees, monuments and art. Some of the activities you could do are; exploring monuments and memorials such as the Archibald Fountain or the Captain James Cook Statue. You can also enjoy recreational activities.
