 The Rocks

The rocks of Sydney, commonly referred to simply as The Rocks, is one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in Sydney. It is located on the southern shore of Sydney Harbour and is really famous between both, locals and tourist. 


To reach The Rocks via public transportation, you can take buses that travel through the Central Business District along Elizabeth Street. This transport is available from 8AM to 8PM, and leaves you directly at The Rocks. The Rocks Markets operate exclusively on weekends, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The shops at The Rocks Markets change every weekend, and they have a variety of unknown and small artisans and vendors. In order to know who will be there on a specific weekend, you can check the schedule to see it.


I consider the foodie finds  to be the best part of the whole market. As a food lover, I had the chance to enjoy from delicious street food to gourmet tasty food. It was amazing! You have also the chance to try  artesanal chocolates and, of course, all this food includes a vegan and a gluten free option. 


To sum up, think that if you really want to get to know Sydney, you should, definetly visit The Rocks and explore all the variety of shops that you can found there.

Art Gallery of New South Wales

  Art Gallery of New South Wales  The Art Gallery of New South Wales, was founded in 1874 by Dr Michael Brand. It is known because of it’s extensive collection of Australian, European and Asian aboriginal art. It’s the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia.  After visiting is, I realized that work of art that really drawn my attention was the Castle Upnor, River Medway. It was made on 1833 by Joseph Mallord William Turner. It was an English painter specialized in landscapes. He was born in 1775 and he died in 2851. It was considered a controversial figure in his time., but also, one of the best painters of landscapes.  I choose his work of art because all the little details that contains. The castle, the incredible ancient ships,  the dog, the fisherman’s and the little city we can see far away from the coast. I apreciate a lot, all the effort, strength and time he had to invert to create such a beautiful and realistic paint...

Hyde Park Sydney Thinking Routine

  Hyde Park Sydney Thinking Routine In the picture we can see two old man playing a human-sized chess game in the middle of a really beautiful park. It seems like the game must be quite interesting because they have some spectators. I think that these people might usually play at the park, because in order to have spectators, you must have had played before more than once.  The park were they are playing this chess game is called Hyde Park in Sydney. It’s known for being Australia’s oldest park as well as one of it’s most well known. The Park is filled of thousand of trees, monuments and art.
