The Royal Botanic Garden
The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney is a historic and vibrant green space in the heart of the city. Established in 1816, it is the home of thousands of plants and flowers, including rare and endangered ones, and offers a center for scientific research and conservation. With stunning views of the Sydney Harbour, it is a popular destination for visitors who love nature, education, and relaxation.
If you become a member of the Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens, you can enjoy several benefits, such as a 20% discount on plant purchases from the Gardens' Living Collection, discounted tickets for events across the three gardens and exclusive access to member-only experiences such as talks, workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours. Being a member also includes receiving the Gardens Magazine a couple of times during the year.
From all the variety of plants you can find here, I choose the Wollemi Pine. This three was believed to be exiting until they found it in 1994. Is not the most beautiful three in the world, but I choose it because it shows how thanks, to the Royal Boganic Garden, nowadays we have the luck tu see this kind of endangered species.
